BREAKING NEWS – 13.06.2023
In its press release of June 7, 2023, SolidWorld Group, the leading company in the field of digital technologies, 3D printing and additive manufacturing, announced its collaboration with Marotta Srl and Vection Technologies on the European Space Agency’s HEXA-FLY (High-Speed Experimental Fly Vehicles) project. The HEXA-FLY project concerns the construction of the first European hypersonic aircraft prototype for civil transport: it would be the first hypersonic jet that can reach a speed equal to 8 times the speed of sound for civil use. As part of the project, SolidWorld will provide the 3D design software that, thanks to the integration with the systems of the partner companies, will design the integration systems and carry out the simulations of the hypersonic aircraft for civil transport across the planet. The first prototype of the aircraft is in the design phase and will be built starting from 2024, so a first test flight is expected in 2026. As for the other partners, Marotta Srl is a company specialising in the production of precision mechanical components, both aerospace and scientific for research purposes, while Vection Technologies is an international technology company that helps companies to transform their production processes by exploiting 3D data through extended reality interfaces. Marotta Srl’s aerospace engineers will develop the prototype, using Vection Technologies’ 3DFrame platform integrated with Dassault Systèmes’ SolidWorks design suite and the Cisco Webex collaboration platform. The entire project is achievable thanks to the ability to simulate in virtual reality the integration activities of the subsystems and optimization of the ergonomics of the specialists assigned to the aircraft, reducing the design costs of the integration docks and minimizing the risks of errors. Innovative technological solutions have enabled Marotta Srl to virtually design, prototype and test the HEXA-FLY aircraft, reducing the need for physical prototypes and logistical costs. Participation in this initiative as a frontline player and collaboration with international players as well as the European Space Agency (ESA) further confirm the validity of SolidWorld’s offering, which is increasingly entering high-profile projects with high potential to represent major breakthroughs in science and technology. We confirm our recommendation: target price € 9,15, rating BUY and risk MEDIUM. |
